1. cool, although i've seen instances where google has gotten it wrong and labelled safe sites as unsafe. not so cool for the owners of those sites.

2. Yes, I've seen that a few times. Back in April, Google took TechWag off the map.

3. It happened to our site once when a person infected with a virus someone posted a message to our discussion forums. The virus appended its self-propagating code without that person knowing and Google flagged us with this warning.

We cleaned out the offending code and contacted Google - they removed the warning within a day.

4. I've seen it twice.

The first time I ignored it, and the linked site actually took down my computer. It was totally an attack site.

The second time, it was when trying to view my own blog. That sucked. Turned out I cut & pasted a tracking link from some other site. That triggered Google's sensors and it was a pain in the ass to figure out.

7. Yes, they've been doing this for a while. I remember at one point they had whateverlife.com flagged. This is a great service for publishers. Sometimes it's the only way they find out that their site is hacked.

8. No, not so cool. Nice idea, but they flagged one of my sites due to a missing ".jpg" tag on an image file and i spent two weeks explaining and apologizing for google's "unsafe" label to my clients. In my case it took 12 days for them to remove the warning.

9. this is certainly a useful feature, just seems to me that a notice should be allocated as something more visible, red bold, for example. Now is very easy to lose sight of this notification, especially during quick searching.

10. I've seen this a number of times. The really odd thing is that Google seems to be detecting only websites that have been hacked, and not ones with malicious intent to begin with. For example, if you search Google for "serial crack exe" (I was using that as a malicious example... I don't actually search for that type of stuff.), all of the .exe's would be malicious, yet Google doesn't warn you about them.

Unfortunately we can not access the site now.
Apparently there are allegations of the malware/trojan stealing online banking info etc...
Having a good antivirus is a good solution for it all I think.

13. i just went to a site called wylandfoundation.org after watching a documentary (narrated by pierce brosnan) about art and whales and found this warning posted by google. that is too bad... i wish there was a way to notify them this is happening. hopefully it will get fixed because the warning scared me away from the site.

14. had to bring te whole site down am in the process of changing coding, had 3 bugs planted and had to have site verified by badcode.org and after cleaning and again by goggle before they took the notice off.
