Maybe you need 2 podcasts/blogs, one on fat blogging and one for general business discussions, i sort of ignore the fatblogging stuff, but a big fan of the business talk. My fat tip - don't eat dessert with the meal, leave it for an hour, stops your stomach expanding to store the food

One thing I forgot to mention is that for me, tools and data really help me stay motivated. I use FitDay for all my calorie counting and such, and am a *huge* user of Traineo for sharing the data with my motivators and community :)

6. Chana Dal...

I have been eating Chana Dal as a replacement for bread and rice for some time now. Very low on the GI table. Great to make a big pot on a sunday, then freeze into small lunch portions, then eat as desired. Get a slow/pressure cooker.

7. Hey Jason, don't you think something like "weight blogging" might be a little more tasteful? I mean, I think that 50% of the population, and your ultimate market--namely, women, aren't going to be too keen on tagging themselves implicitly "fat" by keeping a "fat blog."

Just one product marketer's opinion. I mean, I've always recoiled from "Death and Dismemberment Insurance."

9. Caught the podcast, heard you talking about exercise and wanted to throw something out there. It doesn't really matter how hard you exercise, as long as you listen to your body. It will tell you when you are hurting yourself, you just have to know what to listen to.

In doing that HITT, I think you said it was, you will need to give your body a day of recovery. The reason is your body needs a chance to repair muscles, so you can do more the next day.

10. Interesting show. I think it is great that you are doing something to help people work together to get healthy. For your next show on fatblogging, I would have all female bloggers on your panel because men and women view weight loss and body image with very different lenses.

I started my blog “Back in Skinny Jeans” just as a rant about not being able to let go of the dream of wanting to wear the smaller pair of jeans I used to wear during my skinny days. Loads of people feel the same way. Losing weight is not just about being thinner, it’s about the dream of having that “magical life” where life is perfect and happy because you’re slim and trim, or so we believe.
